ABOUT
From the mind of producer, engineer, and artist Bel Kil comes a cinematic blend of indie-pop, showcasing her sharp songwriting, raw emotion and lush production. Her dreamy vocals move from effortless steez to unrestrained power, over spirited beats and infectious hooks. With acclaimed releases and magnetic live shows, she’s building a loyal following and becoming a standout on the regional festival circuit.
Following the success of her debut EP My Year, Bel returned with Wasted Emotion — a self-produced collection of songs exploring identity, love, and the tension between dreams and reality. Both My Year and lead single Rose Street were finalists in the Unsigned Only and International Songwriting Competitions, and both EPs have earned Spotify Editorial playlisting, national radio rotation, and support from Triple J Unearthed, Rage, Pilerats and more.
But Bel’s journey is far from straightforward. After a life changing bike accident left her with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Bel had to start over, re-learning how to sing and compose from scratch. It was this experience that ignited the determination and confidence to pursue a career in music, and is a testament to the artist she is today.
On stage, Bel and her band are magnetic — delivering electric sets at packed-out venues including The Toff, Evelyn, Leadbeater, and Barwon Club, and festivals like Folk Rhythm & Life and Grampains Grape Escape. A passionate advocate for community and live music, she also curates Out West Fest, and has played alongside acts such as Odette, Sex On Toast, Deep Sea Arcade, and Immi Owusu.
With a growing fanbase, an East Coast tour ahead, and her most powerful songs yet, Bel Kil is quickly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting emerging voices.
